Ferrexpo announced a special dividend payment

On December 07, 2017 Ferrexpo announced a special dividend of 3.3 US cents per share for the first half of financial year 2017. Considering almost 589 mn of shares outstanding, the total amount of dividends to be paid reaches USD 19.4 mn. Special dividend will be paid in addition to the same amount of common dividends which were paid in September and are paid from cash flows in excess of the Group’s needs when taking into account debt repayments and development capital expenditure.

Our view:

Payment of extra dividends confirms Ferrexpo’s strong financial position and its sustainable growth in 2017, with positive outlooks for 2018. As was mentioned by the Company, special dividend payment will not influence Ferrexpo’s debt servicing, so the shares’ attractiveness growth was achieved without loss of solvency.
