Business and political leaders of Ukraine set out their vision for the economic future of the country at the “New Ukraine 2015” Investment Conference, which was attended by prominent international business leaders and investors. During the event, organised by Empire State Capital Partners, they shared their views and vision on economic plans of the country in front of the audience of 300 international decision-makers.
Keynote speakers at the event included Bill Browder of Hermitage Capital, whose unique perspective on post-Soviet era economies gained international coverage; Rodolfo Amoresano, CIO of Empire State Capital Partners, Oleg Bahmatyuk, CEO and founder of UkrLandFarming and Richard Spinks, CEO of Active Energy Group Plc, all of whom have years of experience of working in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. They were joined by members of the Ukrainian government, national and international business leaders and well-known cultural and spiritual figures, all of whom were promoting the core message: Ukraine is looking to the future, establishing a firm economic strategy and is well and truly open for business.
The ”New Ukraine 2015” Investment Conference covered a broad range of topics and industry sectors, including Macro Economy & Politics; Agro & Food; Fuel & Energy; Infrastructure, Machinery, Real Estate; Banking & Finance; Clean Tech & Renewables and details the considerable investment opportunities in the country.
In his speech, Rodolfo Amoresano emphasized the importance of such events for Ukraine: “The event gathered under one roof international investors, issuers, investment banks, key political, business and cultural leaders. All of them set their vision on the development of Ukrainian economy. And offered important practical advice on how to communicate and present in a way investors understand were given.”
Continuing the promotion of Ukraine and in order to show interest in attracting investments, several international companies, including London Stock Exchange AIM-listed Active Energy Group Plc, Astarta and UkrLandFarming organised site visits to their Ukraine-based facilities.
“We are currently witnessing the highest level of organisation and economic mobilisation since President Poroshenko was elected,” according to Richard Spinks, CEO of Active Energy Group Plc. “I know from personal experience that Ukraine offers huge economic opportunities across a number of business sectors, and I am convinced that the best is yet to come”.
During the Investment Conference, participants had an opportunity to enjoy the works by modern Ukrainians artists and took part at a Charity Art Auction is to be held. The Auction was held with the support of “Ukrainskiy Svitanok” International Charitable Foundation founded by Ruslana, Ukrainian singer and social activist. The funds raised will be transferred to that organization in order to help children affected by the warfare in the ATO area.
The purpose of “New Ukraine 2015” Investment Conference achieved its intended target of promoting a dynamic conversation on future of Ukraine, to hear the opinion makers on what they think is vital for the country development, improvement of investment climate and tool that can be implemented for achievement of these goals.
