A new consortium in the oil and gas industry of Ukraine is launched. The consortium is created by Robert Bensh, an American investor, who controls 60% of shares of PJSC "Donbasenergo".
Strategic advisors to the new consortium are US-Ukrainian investment company Empire State Capital Partners, and investment boutique Kutsev Kirzner.
"Due to the perceived emergence of new international projects, burgeoning reforms and macroeconomic stabilization in Ukraine we have been approached by numerous banks, investors and private equity groups to lead an effort to invest their capital in Ukraine’s energy sector. The introduction of global standards, international experience and technology will create value for our investors. Hiring Empire State and Kutsev Kirzner to coordinate this effort is our first step in this process,” – commented Robert Bensh.
Alex Bart, managing partner of Empire State Capital Partners believes that many players in the market will be interested to take part in the development of the consortium: "We highly appreciate the chances of the project to gain the trust of international lenders, in particular key IFIs (International Financial Institutions). Previously we have received support from a number of key players in the United States".
"The project will serve as a direct bridge between the Ukrainian and American business communities in the sector", said Vladimir Kutsev, managing partner of Kutsev Kirzner investment boutique.
