Empire State Capital Partners organized “NEW Ukraine” international investment conference under the authority of Odesa Regional State Administartion

Empire State Capital Partners organized third “NEW Ukraine” international investment conference under the authority of Odesa Regional State Administartion, which took place on September 10 in Odesa. 

Potential investors from Europe, USA and Israel took part at the conference. Also Ukrainian  business leaders and politicians were present at the event. In the course of the conference the basic spheres of activity in the region were determined, which are of the biggest interest for potential investors – infrastructure, ports, IT-sphere, agriculture, tourism and energy industry.

Odesa is the first region in Ukraine that would like to act as an independent and initiative example of those reforms that can also be implemented in other regions.

Mikheil Saakashvili, Governor of Odesa State Regional Administration reassured that efforts of his team, as usually, will be aimed at supporting favorable conditions for business activity in Odesa region. When the main attention, to his mind, should be paid to infrastructure, ports, IT-sphere, agriculture, tourism and energy industry development. 

“Within this year we are planning to attract about USD 3 billion of investments into Odesa region. In order to facilitate this process we continue to fight with corruption, because it’s the main reason why there is no inflow of high profile investments into the country”, - emphasized Mikheil Saakashvili.  

Governor of Odesa State Regional Administration also added that in the nearest time regional authorities intend to offer the reform package to the central bodies, one of which will be related to development of draft bill on free enterprise. The project is about cancellation of licensing procedure and simplifying privatization of land by the potential investors.
